Abyss by Margaret V. Doran
Abyss
Margaret V.Doran
I’m neither mad nor angry
but my emotions are at war
with my intellect
You don’t want to hear
about these feelings we
can’t dissect
So don’t look at me and ask
"What’s wrong with you, was it
something I said?"
I don’t want to be here.
As near as I can tell
I’m already dead
And I wish my mind and body
could catch up with where my joy
already went
Instead of being stuck
in this never-ending, painful spiral
of descent.
