Adieu from Hazel

Margaret V.Doran

I値l be leaving in the evening
when all the light grows dim
when the sounds of nighttime slumber
bring precious thoughts of Him

So come to say goodbye.
Let every hand I touch
be blessed by His tender mercies
as I have been blessed so much

Pass on the love I share
with each troubled soul you face
Assure each one of God痴 goodness
His forgiveness and His grace.

But do not hinder my going
nor wish that I could stay;
it is a trip I致e longed for
and long for still today.

So as I say farewell,
know that when I turn to go
I値l be turning to my Lord
who waits to say "Hello."

Then I値l don my golden slippers
to dance in the golden street,
rejoicing with loved ones waiting there
and the souls I have yet to meet.

With joy I'll bid my last adieu
upon this worldly shore
grieve not; I値l have entered Heaven
where I値l dance forevermore!
