Alone

I feel so alone and lonely
I feel unacceptable and rejected

Yet while you have been alone
        you did not feel these things

When I am alone with myself
        there is no one to reject me;
        no one to find me unacceptable
There is just Me

But my world is with other people
        the people I love
Is my spirit so fragile that it can
        only exist alone?
Is it so misplaced
        that it can only hurt those around it?
