Disappearing Act
Margaret V.Doran
I put it on the table
but now it isn’t there
I looked in all the normal places
but it isn’t anywhere
I called the kids for them to help;
we turned the whole house upside down
We searched and searched everywhere
but it was nowhere to be found
It doesn’t matter what I lost
the rule applies universally
if you neglect to put it "away"
it disappears . . . usually
