House of Rainbows
Margaret V.Doran
Every house should have
at least one pane of cut glass
set high to catch sun beams
and, as prisms do,
bend them to rainbows
and toss them in to adorn
walls and beds and floors
tables and chairs and doors
for living in each rainbow
is the promise of hope
For I have set my bow in the sky as a covenant between us
