Liquid Crystal
Margaret V.Doran
I saw them this morning
liquid drops of crystal
smooth and perfect orbs
elongate and slip from the rail
reforming perfect glowing spheres
before they struck the surface
and in the forming and reforming
they reflected all that was around them:
the lights, the colors, the beauty, magnifying their brilliance
and as they joined the puddle,
they spread in ever expanding circles
to reflect the universe
