Love Song
Margaret V.Doran
Tis but the love we share that keeps me whole
When life seems far too hard to make it through
You are the counterpart of my own soul
Your simple touch will heal, it will console
Through pain and loss I turn to you anew
Tis but the love we share that keeps me whole
You give me strength and help me gain control
Even when I did not speak you knew
You are the counterpart of my own soul
My tears you dry and gently you condole
By your presence, peace you do imbue
Tis but the love we share that keeps me whole
I trust your heart, you never would cajole
There's strength in honesty though words are few
You are the counterpart of my own soul
To give you back the same my only goal
All love, all strength, all wisdom, I to you
Tis but the love we share that keeps me whole
You are the counterpart of my own soul
