The Child

Margaret V.Doran

The child
who cannot study
because it hurts his back
to lean into his task
of writing and figuring
and committing answers
to paper
sits in total concentration
for two hours
with marking pens in hand
creating beautiful and abstract
designs with a lap desk
and one 8-1/2” by 11” page



Be true to who you are and let the gift that God has given you find expression.
