Come Too Soon
Margaret V.Doran
Through the window
grey sky, dreary
leafless black branches
spread upward
vein to capillary.
Into the grey-scale
a fast and brilliant spot of green and orange
hovers and moves on
having rejected in the blink of an eye
the long-empty feeder.
Prepare your hearts for the Lord and wait with all diligence
